In Derbyshire…

…Shaun Pollard, Manager, National Children's Homes (NCH), Youth
Reach, Derbyshire, is pleased that his determination to introduce multi-agency work is beginning to reap rewards. The Team Around the Child (TAC) approach and incorporating the Common Assessment Framework (CAF) into their Homeless and Runaways Service is proving successful. Inspirational managers like Shaun, don't see obstacles – only challenges to be overcome. His team and colleagues from different sectors share his enthusiasm to meet the needs of vulnerable youth in the area.
“Derbyshire is no different to anywhere else. Agencies must get together for the needs of the child or young person rather than the needs of the agencies. Actually, if it's done effectively, it cuts down the amount of work for everyone,”

said Shaun.
